Bill was going to say "She told me once that if it were not for you ..... She would not have been to church .Jess meant that he was now alone at Terabithia.P.S the book is almost finshed.

I think that Bill was going to say that "She told me once that if it weren't for you Leslie would have never died that day".When Jess had said that "Leslie had left him stranded on the moon like an astronaut"he meant that he was all alone at school and Terabithia, and left when people were making fun of Leslie.RYNE
